Savour the al fresco experience of having all meals at the Beachcomber restaurant by the poolside overlooking the bay and the harbour in the distance. Prainha Resort by the Sea Goa

Prainha, "little beach" in Portuguese, is a 45-room family-run resort that nestles in a coconut palm grove above a quiet cove at Dona Paula in North Goa. The original timber ceiling cottages are just 10 metres from the beach. Each of the four Madeira cottages is a deluxe suite with a large double bedroom and an elegant living area (around 50 sq metres), beautifully furnished with genuine Indo-Portuguese furniture. Air-conditioning, an LCD TV, a mini-fridge, a coffee maker and other thoughtful touches give you a home-away-from-home feel.
