Kumbhalgarh is about 90 Kms from both, Udaipur as well as Falna. While the nearest airport is at Udaipur, the nearest railway station is at Falna. Club Mahindra offers pick up and drop from the airport/railway station, but taxis are easily available from both places at the same rate. We chose to travel by train, and then took a cab from the Falna railway station. The route is picturesque, and we could hardly believe that we were in Rajasthan, the desert region of India. There was so much greenery wherever we looked, thanks to regular rains since the last few years. Wheat and sugarcane fields loomed all over the landscape with a few peacocks and monkeys thrown in for sheer pleasure. The 2 hour journey seemed like just a few minutes.

We have been Club Mahindra members for about 6 years now, and have experienced the comforts and pleasures of Club Mahindra resorts at Goa and Ooty. We jumped at the chance to visit the new resort at Kumbhalgarh in Rajasthan, as it would give us the opportunity to not only experience a new resort, but also visit a new place that we had already heard about. Club Mahindra Resort Kumbhalgarh (Rajasthan, India) situated on a hill over looking the Kumbhalgarh valley having marble inlay and individual open terrace with view of the countryside, equipped with all modern day amenities. Kumbhalgarh known for its 15th Century Fort Situated at 3500 ft. above sea level, is located just 80 kms from Udaipur (Rajasthan, India). Fort is 3 kms long of of 25 feet thick walls which are pretty unique and nowhere to be found in the world. All The Basic Facilities Are There. The Hotel Staff Also Arrange Evening Entertainment For The Family And Kids. The Kitchen Is Very Good, The Chef Talented And Resourceful. Importantly The Food Is Gently Spiced And Easy On Any Palate. the Food Though Was Slightly On The Expensive Side.
