OUDHYANA RESTAURANT
Traditional and inviting, Oudhyana serves superb Awadhi and North Indian delicacies. With delicately flavoured kebabs and biryanis, this restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a medley of authentic Awadhi cuisine the only specialty restaurant in the country to enjoy such cuisine.
Located at the lobby level, this restaurant offers picturesque pool views while corridors showcase exquisite life-size portraits of erstwhile rulers. The restaurant’s décor evokes the Lucknowi history, depicting old historical Mughlai buildings of yore. The jhaar-phanus (crystal chandeliers) and the traditional artefacts transport guests back in time to the courts of the Nawabs (muslim rulers).
The menu has been specially designed to give guests an authentic taste of the region – prepared by Chefs who are descendants of Nawabs chefs. Their mouth-watering secret masalas are not available anywhere else.
A range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian kebabs include the famous Kakori and the Galavat Kebab, specially prepared, melt-in-the-mouth kebabs which originated from the kitchens of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah. Guests can also look forward to loaves of traditional bread – Sheermaal (flavoured with saffron) and the aromatic Biryanis. To round off the meal, the traditional desserts include Sevian ka Muzzaffar (specially prepared during Id), Shahi Tukda (Lucknawi bread pudding) and Phirnee (a milk and rice dessert served in earthern pots which adds to the flavour)
MEHFIL - (Bar)
This relaxing bar exudes a comfortable atmosphere. Mehfil serves a variety of delicious refreshments. The unique bar offer lounge ambiance with low level sofa seating. Décor is rich and exotic: traditional velvet tapestry with intricate zardozi embroidery adorns the walls and antiques evoke the grandeur of the past. A range of Hookahs (hubble-bubble) are also available for the guests to sample. A fine selection of Indian and imported wines and spirits keep guests in good cheer. Live ghazals every evening (except Tuesdays) make guetss feel like a true Nawab.
THE SAHIB'S CAFE
Guests can succumb to the succulent flavours of Indian, Continental, and Chinese cuisines. The Sahib Café offers a delectable selection of international favourites. This is an open restaurant at the lobby with seating capacity for 92 persons. The ambiance, as the name suggests, is British Colonial. For celebrations or VIP events, we offer special gazebo seating around a raised table for 8.The restaurant offers an elaborate mixed buffet for both breakfast and lunch as well as a la carte options. Delicious pre-plated options are also available for all meals and snacks. Guests can also order from a delectable array of pastries on display. Special bakery requests are also accepted. The restaurant also hosts a variety of food promotions and festivals through out the year, some of which include Sherbet Promotion (with special Unani healing powers), Mango Promotion, Ice Cream Promotion and many more.

At the Taj Residency, your guests can experience the colour, cuisine and culture of the region. In addition to offering the city’s largest banquet facilities and broadband Internet access, the hotel stages theme events, including a Nawabi evening on the 7,500 square foot Gulistan lawn, that evoke the grandeur of the past.
Four banquet rooms to accommodate 50 to 500 guests, auditorium-styles. Gulistan Lawn for 250 to 400 guests for cocktails. Poolside lawn for larger events of up to 800 guests. Catering is available for breakfast, lunch, dinner, meeting breaks and cocktail parties.
